GHG Protocol accounting rules and related application tools practical training

Course Introduction

It is a high-intensity training course. This course includes three days of physical classes, written examination (24 hours), and after-class homework (6 hours). How to implement the GHG Protocol and comply with the basic requirements of third-party assurance will be explained in detail.

Course features and objectives

● Form an effective GHG Protocol implementation team

● In-depth analysis of GHG Protocol standards and different accounting methods

● Choose a calculation method suitable for the characteristics of the enterprise to calculate the enterprise’s emissions (including using accounting software such as EEIO)

● Focus on value chain data collection and emission accounting (solve the dilemma of companies implementing ISO14064-1 avoiding the value chain)

● Base year recalculation principles and implementation details

● Explanation of GHG report content

● Help students enter practical application scenarios through classroom explanations, best practice case analysis and after-class homework

● Analyze GHG data quality and prepare data quality improvement plans

● Determine key emission categories and key stakeholders in the value chain and assess emission reduction potential

● Meet the basic requirements for third-party assurance.

Limit the number of people

●The number of students is limited to 24.

Student certificate

● Requirements for passing the written examination: 70 points. Students who fail can retake the exam once.

● Those who pass the written examination will be issued a certificate of qualification; those who fail to pass the written examination will be issued a completion certificate.

Participating student requirements

● Companies that implement GHG Protocol standards shall appoint representatives (no more than 3 representatives per company) or GHGProtocol coaching and verification personnel. More than three years of ESG-related work experience.

● Have basic knowledge and ability of GHG emission calculation.

● English reading ability (course cases, application databases and calculators are all in English).

● Basic ability to operate Excel (please bring a personal computer for class)

● Self-learning mentality and ability.

Precautions

● To ensure your rights to take classes, if you do not receive any reply after registering, please call us to complete the registration.

● To safeguard the quality of the course and the rights of other students, if the original registrant and payer cannot participate, other qualified candidates can be assigned to participate, and the organizer will be notified no later than one week before the course starts.

● After receiving the class and payment notice, pay by remittance, check or online credit card on the designated date

● Due to the preparation of pre-class teaching materials, handouts and meals and the need to refund you, if you are unable to come, please inform us one week before the class starts to facilitate administrative work and jointly protect resources.

● Refund policy if you need to cancel your registration:
1. Students who withdraw from the training before the start of the training: 90% of the course fees paid will be refunded
2. If a trainee withdraws from the training within 1/3 of the total hours during the training period: 50% of the course fee paid will be refunded
3. If a student withdraws from training after exceeding 1/3 of the total hours during the training period: no refund will be given

● To accommodate lecturer schedules or temporary emergencies, the organizer has the right to adjust the date or change lecturers.

Anyone who violates this will not only be required to completely delete the relevant information on the spot, but also have the course relationship terminated and all course-related materials returned without refund.
